Foundations: clothing and production
Pattern making and academic foundations
I grew up around my father’s knitwear production, where seeing discarded material offcuts sparked my interest in less wasteful ways of making clothes. My training combined garment production with geometry, measurements and technical calculations: translating a three-dimensional body into flat patterns. I also explored draping and visual merchandising. Winning a national fashion technology competition led to a placement with Vyacheslav Zaitsev.

Knitwear and production · Eurotransprom
At Eurotransprom, I worked as an apparel designer and led the atelier, a separate unit within the knitwear factory. I developed knitwear for brands including Sleep and Parfyonova. We fulfilled commissions for independent designers and produced knitted samples. The work shown here includes my knitwear designs for Jamal Makhmudov’s Sleep brand, presented at CPM Moscow, alongside photographs of the production environment where I worked.

Placement at the Zaitsev Fashion House
I spent six months at the Zaitsev Fashion House while studying fashion design and promotion at university. At the end of the placement, I created a collection, organised a photoshoot and produced a lookbook.
Exchange in Shanghai
I submitted this portfolio to my university’s international exchange programme and was selected for tuition-free study in China. I spent six months studying design in English.
Student collections and experiments with form
During my studies, I developed design sketches and explored garment form through draping. A skirt-and-jacket ensemble won a fashion design competition. For a show at the Kremlin Palace, I created a collection of black garments whose shapes came to life through movement.

Valentin Yudashkin Fashion House
I joined the fashion house on my university’s recommendation, working in GRAFIS CAD and draping fabric on the dress form. The images document pattern development and finished garments.
Sportmaster · Industrial design and an international team
I progressed from design assistant to designer and contributed to six collection seasons, working across womenswear, menswear and accessories in an international English-speaking team. This developed my understanding of materials and industrial production. The work was covered by an NDA, and I do not have a public visual archive.
